Premium > Change skin, (some cracked clients you can), premium servers (dwarvez vs zombies, hunger games, infected, etc games)
Cracked > cant change skin, if so only the person who has that client can see it too, barely any hunger games server. free, no-payment, if notch finds out its gone for good.

You can change skins with a Cracked MineshafterSquared client, but only other people with MineshafterSquared can see it.
And there are good cracked servers, and bad legit servers. It all depends on who's running it, how well they take care of it.

Though if you have premium you can still connect to cracked servers.So i would go w/ premium if i had $.

Well the thing is, if people had the chance to get premium MC, they would probably take it.
If they don't have that chance, they would respectively go with cracked clients rather than no MC at all.
Of course if you do have a premium account, you would most likely say that premium is much better (being bias)
If you just had a cracked account, I guess you would feel satisfied because you still have cracked MC and there's not
much of a difference to you...
It basically depends among different people and they're various standards
I personally like premium because it is:
1. Legal xD
2. Has more rights and capabilities ( skins that can be seen by anyone, premium access to servers, etc.)
3. Just makes you feel good that people aren't trying to hunt you down for copyrighted property
